A copied Flickr photo set can be used to advertise bookings under another photographer’s name. Compare the account with the photographer’s own booking page before sending a deposit.

Check the photographer behind the booking

  • Compare the full Flickr profile URL with links from the photographer’s established website.
  • Review image sets, upload dates and any available EXIF details. Compare these with the photographer’s published work.
  • Check the booking domain and contact email against the photographer’s own site.
  • Confirm the scope and payment details through that established contact, especially if a message demands an urgent deposit.

Record the copied set and payment request

  • Keep the suspicious profile and image URLs, alongside the original photographer’s pages.
  • Save the booking message, proposed agreement and payment destination.
  • Include screenshots and capture dates so a report shows both the copied work and the offer.
