Member search, inbox search, and group search answer different questions. Start with the one that matches what you remember.

Where do you search for an AdultFriendFinder username?

For a member lookup, sign in to AdultFriendFinder and use the username input under Search. For someone you have messaged, search your Message Center instead. A group's member search only checks that group. An empty result in one place does not establish that the account is absent everywhere.

Choose the search that fits the starting point

You have an exact member name: use the signed-in Search navigation. AFF's member-search instructions describe a username input there.
You remember a conversation: search the Message Center. Its search field accepts usernames, partial names, or keywords. A remembered phrase may be more useful than guessing the missing half of a name.
You remember a group: open that group's member list. AFF documents View All Members and Search by Username. This narrows the task to a particular community.

Keep the result's scope attached to it

Suppose you remember chatting with sample_handle, but searching that name in one group returns nothing. That tells you only what that group view returned. It does not answer whether a conversation remains in your inbox or whether the member is discoverable through the site's main search.

If you are documenting your own account history, write down which search you used, the exact spelling you entered, and when you checked. This makes a repeat check meaningful. Do not turn an unsuccessful lookup into a claim that someone deleted an account or never had one.

Use the profile link you actually open

After finding a member, copy the address from the profile itself. We have not verified a universal AFF username-to-URL pattern, so this guide does not ask you to construct one. A login screen, a message link, and a member profile are different destinations.

If the member has shared a profile with you, begin there. Do not use someone else's login or account-recovery process to look for information. Public username checks cannot establish hidden membership, relationship status, or private activity.

If your goal is recovering your own account

Use AFF's official login-recovery link in its Help Center, rather than searching for your profile as if you were another member. Public visibility and access to your account are separate problems. Do not give a third-party username finder your AFF password.

AdultFriendFinder questions

Can I search my AFF messages with only part of a username?

AFF's message-search help describes searches using a full username, a partial username, or a keyword. Those are message results, not a list of every member with a similar handle.

Does finding the same username elsewhere prove it is the same person?

No. Keep an unconfirmed match separate from an account link the member has actually shared. A matching name or photo is not enough to make a sensitive claim about someone.
