How do I open the profile behind a MoneySavingExpert post?
Select the username on the forum post to open its profile. If you are looking for your own account, use My Profile in the forum menu.
Start with the discussion
Find the thread you remember using the forum search. MSE’s help explains that the arrow on the results page opens extra search filters. Once you find the relevant contribution, select its username rather than searching for someone’s real name.
Check who is replying
MSE says verified company accounts display “Organisation Representatives” beneath their username. That label does not mean MSE endorses the company. For a company response, read the account’s profile and keep the original thread link so you retain the context.

Check a public handle across sites
You can separately check a public handle across supported sites. A matching username alone does not confirm who owns an account.
First search free. Signup keeps your username ready; you choose when to search. Public profiles only—no private or paywalled content.
