Find the Right Pixelfed Account and Server
Distinguish a full Pixelfed account address from a topic discovered in Explore.

What should I check in a Pixelfed profile address?
Keep the server name with the username. pixelfed.social is one Pixelfed server; ask for the full profile link when a bare name could refer to an account elsewhere in the network.
Get the full profile link
Pixelfed describes a connected network where accounts on different servers can interact. When someone gives you a short username, ask which server hosts it or use the full public URL they have shared. The server is part of the account address.
Explore finds topics too
pixelfed.social describes Discover as a way to explore categories, hashtags and topics. A hashtag result is a route to photographs about a subject, not confirmation that you have found a particular photographer’s account.
Use what the owner shares
Compare the profile with links published by the photographer. Respect private posts and profile settings; an incomplete public view does not establish that an account is missing.

Check a public handle across sites
You can separately check a public handle across supported sites. A matching name alone does not confirm account ownership.
First search free. Signup keeps your username ready; you choose when to search. Public profiles only—no private or paywalled content.
