Public-profile guide
Find a HackMD Author or Team
Distinguish a public contributor, team workspace and collaboratively written note.

Where should I start when looking for a HackMD author?
Start with a note or profile link published by the author or team. HackMD’s Community surfaces public notes and distinguishes contributors from teams, so a team’s page should not automatically be treated as one person’s account.
Use the note’s original source
If you found a HackMD note through a project’s documentation, return to that project’s established website or repository and compare its link. A copied note title alone is a weak way to identify its author.
A team is not one author
HackMD’s platform overview describes collaborative editing, public notes and team workspaces. Its Community presents both contributors and teams. Check whether the link represents an individual or a project before connecting it to an account elsewhere.
Public notes do not expose a private workspace
Use only what the author has published. If you need a specific document, ask its owner for the intended share link or access. Finding a public contributor page does not authorize access to other team documents.

Check a public handle across sites
You can separately check a public handle across supported sites. Review each result against a link the owner has shared; matching text alone does not confirm account ownership.
