Public-profile guide
Find a WakaTime Public Profile
Read a shared coding profile without confusing public leaderboard visibility with account existence.

Why is someone missing from the WakaTime leaderboard?
WakaTime’s public leaderboard is opt-in and has eligibility rules. Ask for the person’s shared profile link before treating an absent leaderboard entry as a missing account.
Start with a shared profile link
Use a WakaTime link published in the developer’s own portfolio or code-hosting profile. Compare the destination with that source. Similar coding totals or a matching avatar do not establish who owns the account.
The leaderboard is not an account directory
The WakaTime FAQ says users must make their coding statistics public to appear on its public leaderboard. It also lists ranking thresholds, update delays and custom-rule restrictions. Someone can have an account without appearing there.
Public and private totals can differ
The FAQ explains that public profiles use a seven-day period ending yesterday and a default timeout. A different total on a private dashboard is not evidence of a different person. Read the published statistics as activity summaries, not proof of identity or competence.

Check a public handle across sites
You can separately check a public handle across supported sites. Review each result against a link the owner has shared; matching text alone does not confirm account ownership.
First search free. Signup keeps your username ready; you choose when to search. Public profiles only—no private or paywalled content.
