Find a Speaker Deck Speaker Profile

Distinguish a presentation URL from the speaker account and understand missing private decks.

By ProfileTrace · Sources reviewed

Is a Speaker Deck slide link the same as a profile?

No. A deck link points to one presentation; the account’s username forms part of its profile address. Use the speaker’s own published link to confirm the account, especially when several people share a name.

Use the speaker’s conference or portfolio link

If you know the talk, start with the event’s published slide link or the speaker’s own website. Check the account connected to that deck against their other published links. A deck title is not an exact-name search result.

Keep the profile, not only a slide

The official FAQ says a username is part of the account URL. It also documents a Follow control on profiles, which sends email when that user publishes a new deck. Follow only after you have checked the intended account.

Missing slides may have restricted access

Speaker Deck supports private-link and password-protected decks, and decks visible only to their owner cannot be shared. A public profile check cannot reveal those presentations or supply a password.

Check a public handle across sites

You can separately check a public handle across supported sites. Review each result against a link the owner has shared; matching text alone does not confirm account ownership.

First search free. Signup keeps your username ready; you choose when to search. Public profiles only—no private or paywalled content.
