Find the Account Behind a Status Cafe Update
Return to a particular status author without treating the public stream as a full member directory.

How do I find the author of a Status Cafe status?
On the public Status Cafe stream, use the linked account name beside the update. Keep that destination rather than trying to identify an account from the status text or emoji alone.
Use the account link beside the update
The public status stream presents linked account names alongside updates and timestamps. If you have the original update, open its account link and save the resulting address. A screenshot that crops out the account name may not contain enough information to find its author.
The stream answers a limited question
It shows published updates, not proof that every registered account appears in the current view. Someone’s absence from that stream does not establish that their account was removed.
Compare a link from the owner
When several names look plausible, use the Status Cafe link on the owner’s own website. Do not use the content of a personal status to infer that two unrelated accounts belong to the same person.

Check a public handle across sites
Check only public handles across supported sites. Compare results with links the account owner has chosen to share; a matching name alone does not confirm who owns an account.
